Thanks for the advice. Any thoughts on the Nuke proof one? Should have said want it to be fairly stiff and strong, all-mountain if you like!

I have a 90mm Warhead, looks and feels solid if not exactly weight-weeny's wet dream light-like. I also have an Exotic (was meant to be 80 but looks more like 100mm) if any good.

How much do you want to spend? Seen an Easton Haven in the metal; it is designed for AM but is significantly lighter than the Thomson it loosely resembles-looks like they bought a Thomson and then further machined and polished it. Lovely and on the shopping list.

About £50 max. That Easton does look nice though.

I use a [url= http://www.allterraincycles.co.uk/product/119489.html ]bontrager race lite[/url], and [url= http://www.ukbikestore.co.uk/product/37/frs_stem/shimano-pro-frs-3d-forged-stem-2010.html ]shimano pro FRS[/url] both a lot less than most of the above and they [b]do[/b] keep your bars attached to your steerer.

Also got a titec el norte, the older version for £20ish the new ones are different design and £40ish

edit the haven stuff does look nice, I'd have all the haven gear on my bike if I could justify the (rather high) cost.
