Crank & chainring for 1 x 9.
Mate o mine bought a Carrera Vulcan last summer and the square taper bb is now shot ( max done 2oo miles ). He's after going to 1 x 9 and would like a light ( ish ) crank, preferably green or white and a chainring. He young and cheap n good is wanted.
I recommended the Taf 24 crank from Gusset, rebuildable bb from Superstar components on offer at £22.5 in stead of £44. Any thing else out there worth considering? Any compatability issues swapping the square-taper bb for an external one?
Going external from taper should be fine.
