My mate has at the moment has Mavic Aksium. He has £500 budget, anyone any suggestions ?
I've just swapped out some Mavic Ksyrium Equipe's for some handbuilts (Hopes hubs on Archetype H Son rims) and I'm very happy. They came in at just under £400.
Otherwise, the Mavic Ksyrium Elite's always seem popular.

Or Shimano RS81 C24 at just over 1520g for £325 at Merlin.
