I fancy a post for my tourer, no offroad duties involved. Id like a 1 piece moulding as it seems a bonded head is a site of potential weakness.

Ebay seems to show itwms from £11, has anyone had any luck or experiences to share of a cheaper item? Im happy to avoid things that are pretending to be branded, but is a generic really awful?

Cheap carbon is inferior to many metal products...you need to spend much more than that before you really get the desired benefit of composite materials.

If you're really on a budget, get a 2nd hand Thomson post...you can probably get something for as little as £25 if you're lucky... it'll look nice and definitely not fail on you !

cheap carbon from china will be fine.

I have a 3T Dorico LTD which I got off a mate; should be able to pick one up for around £50 second hand. Very light and has loads of setback with a decent two bolt clamp.
