Can anyone recommend a good durable AM/'enduro' clipless shoe please? Ideally with high sidewall for a bit of added ankle protection. I'm thinking something like Shimano AM9 or SH-M200, which incidentally I've read about poor reliability. Does anyone have a positive view on the M200's?
The new Giro Terraduro Mid that is a month overdue already but should be with the distributor on 9th. Ticks every box on paper but has a proper sole for hike a bike in the mountains, a decent flap to keep out mud and laces instead of these ridiculous buckles and straps that manufacturers insist on. Very, very pricey though.
I've got a pair of M200's, cant find owt wrong with em , 6 months of off piste South Wales and a summer Mini DH series and they are not dead yet (I can kill a pair of shoes in 3 months so i'm happy), i've also got a pair of MT91's which I love but there a little tight on me so dont use them much, but there are good if you like a big shoe.
I wont wear anything that doesn't have some kind of ankle protector though.
