Recommend a warm do...
 

[Closed] Recommend a warm down sleeping bag. Anyone got an Alpkit?

Can anyone point me in the direction of a 4-season down bag, or a v warm 3-season (for year-round UK camping)? Thinking of Rab, ME, Alpkit or similar, but looking for a bargain if pos. Can anyone recommend a brand/model/shop/online deal. Ta v much.

Ihave an alpkit 800 (skyhigh?) very, very good for the dosh

Mountain equipment are good value, dont get some silly -30 one though. Mine's rated to -10 for extreme survival (10 degrees comfort) and it does fine unless there's snow outside.
The alpkit Skyehigh range look to be unbeatable in terms of value though.

I have a Skyhigh 800 and it's excellent for the cash (kept me very snug in a very lightweight tent at 4200m last year). Mine's the regular size and it fits perfectly - I'm 5'10" and quite thin. If I was any taller I'd want the large size, so that might be worth bearing in mind.

Marmot Helium is VERY warm for its weight.

Pricey mind (£270), but quality.
