I'd like a fairly warm Jersey for mainly roadie stuff as I get too sweaty in softshell/windproof tops.
The Galibier jersey would be ideal but the reviews say arms are very long (mine aren't) and the pockets are odd.
Any recommendations? - preferably something that is actually in stock somewhere as they seem to be a bit thin on the ground.
I have the Galibier one and TBH the arms seem about right on the XL for me at 180cm and average proportions. The pockets are significantly shallower than other tops but fine for gels etc. There is a zipped pocket for keys/cash etc. The outer rear pockets are small but the centre is large enough for a phone sideways with good elastic at the top to stop anything falling out. For the price they're great and Galibier returns is sweet if you don't get on with it.
Rapha Core Long Sleeve are also very good but twice the cost of the Galibier.
Lusso have a roubaix body and lighter arms which works for me (I tend to run hot), or their slightly warmer Leggero l/s jersey is a bargain in the clearance section of their site.

This one is more a relaxed fit too, should be better for a 'mountain bike' build person.
Torm long sleeve very good
I know this is different to the ask but, have you tried baselayer, s/s jersey and armwarmers? It gives you warmth and also the ability to change mid-ride
Edhornby, I agree with you as I've always been a big fan of layering as it means you have clothing for all seasons without having an item of clothing that is only good for 1 season. But, it is great having a nice bit of kit dedicated to what you use it for.
Are all Roubaix jerseys the same fabric, or is it a generic term for thicker/flocked lycra?
I have an Endura one (custom club print run) and I think it gives me an itchy back if I wear out without a baselayer (not a problem at the moment as I'm wearing two lots of baselayers under it!!)
