[#5867181]

I would like to reduce some weight from my new anthem and the seat post and saddle seem an obvious start as I can swop them on to my HT too. I have changed wheels and gone tubeless already too.

Therefore I am after recommendations of a saddle, I weigh 77 kg if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

Agreed. Thinking people wouldn't recommend an uncomfortable one.

I've put a heavier one than standard on my carbon hardtail, comfort would make much more of a difference to speed than the weight difference in a saddle!

I like my SLR Flow. Very comfy did 40km for the first time using it last Saturday and was much comfier than my old one that weighed more than twice as much.

Full carbon ones are available - not sure you'd want to put your arse on one though...

Spoons or Bel Airs on everything for me.

Might prefer the Bel Air for an all day sitty down do. Just fitted another Spoon a couple of weeks ago though, which pretty much says it all. If Bel Air's were Spoon money though... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Another vote for an SLR - if like me you get on with something like that then it's actually remarkably comfortable (a lot more comfy than a Flite for me).

Gobi has done me well for years, spoon fits me too. If you find the same I've found the sdg circuit to be pretty comfy although the longest ride I've done on one so far is a bit under 5 hours so can't confirm it as 'long day out in summer' certified.

Fizik Tundra 2 braided, weirdly even though definitely being more to the larger size of medium I find it much more comfortable on long rides than the Gobi I have on the FS...

If you've got the one with sl kit & a tundra, they're pretty damn light to begin with.

For balance, I've got an SLR and it's as uncomfortable as an uncomfortable thing. Saddles are a very personal choice.

Fizik Tundra 2. Very comfy, nice and light.
SLR's are lighter, but also more fragile, especially the rails.
