Not had a very successful session tinkering with the bikes today. Managed to make my newish cyclops chain whip explode into several prices, then snapped the chain rivet tool when trying to repair the chain whip.
So what do people recommend for replacements?
Also, suggestions for any place that is doing good deals on tools at the moment?

Ebay. Cheap and reasonable quality, certainly good e ought for the occasional use of a home bike mechanic. I got a chain link removal tool for 99p. Works great. Bit rough and ready, but I'm sure it'll last me for the amount I use it.

I can recommend that you don't get an Icetools chainwhip - bent mine this week trying to loosen a tight cassette.
