That doesn't fall apart or get a jammed up zip in the mud.

Smallish would also be good.

I like the topeak ones personally. They do some smoother ones. The specialized ones seem nice too.

Dont get a pedros recycled inner tube one. Leaks like a sieve.

Whats the smallest duck cotton one that Carradice do? Brilliant big saddle bags, Not sure for saddle packs though...

EDIT: they dont do a small duck cotton pack. But their polyester one claims to have a "Waterproof" zip...

The best saddle bag is no saddle bag, get it in your camelback.
All they do is make your bike look silly, and if you get 1 of the tiny not too bad looking ones they are too small to put anything in.

Another vote for the Ortlieb Mud Racer. No more soggy inner tubes, rusty chain links, rusty multi-tool etc.

Got extra fixing kits so I can switch between bikes. 8)

Edit: mine is stealth black without light.

Fortunately, no one gives a toss what you think.

Do you use a camelbak on the road?

Saddlebag makes perfect sense for a spare tube, few patches, multitool, fiver.

What if you've not got a camelback on.

I realy don't feel the need to cart a huge bag round with me on a couple of hours blast.

+1 for the topeak wedge drybag - travelling light for mid-week night rides has been quite enlightening.

£5 Bell bag out of ASDA - use it on my road bike to keep tubes and food in.

Another vote for Fizik..
Use the small one on the road bike, & the medium on the CX.

I use Fizik sadles, so the pack clips to the saddle so no straps needed.

Ortlieb or topeak - get strap version as more durable

I've got an Ortlieb mudracer as well, nice kit but slightly fiddly to open and the interior space is way less than you'd expect. Still, it's been on the commuter with tools etc for about a year and a half of all conditions and you'd never know.
