as title, any physio's one here have particular favourite brand?
my mate dave(pro vert skater) uses a carbon brace.
can find out the make but not cheap
think the doc meant more allong the lines of suppourt rather than a full on brace.
Have a look at Mueller. they have various different ones for different injuries.
It fixed my knee problems, even allowing me to ride normally while it recovered. several physios hadn't been able to help; none even recommended a brace in about 3 months of treatment without any improvement. I tried the brace, rode down the street very carefully just to see how it was. Within a few minutes I was riding at full speed off-road, for a couple of hours. It was incredible.
Got to get the right one for your injury and I guess they won't always be the answer, but mine certainly fixed me! 🙂
