I'm off to the 'tress this weekend, is it still snowy? Much ice about?

Having read the trail reports on the blog - sounds like there's still loads of ice on the lower half (below buzzards nest) and heaps of snow above that. Still sounds like a place to avoide, unless your pretty strong, have snow tyres, and like pushing your bike about in the snow.

Been quite a thaw in teh burgh since Sunday.

When were you there Mark?

And are you pretending that you don't normally walk most of those trails? ๐Ÿ˜ก

Sunday just been.

The amount of snow as you get to penicuik and onwards is exceptional. might take a while to go...

heh, yep i would have got away with it if it wasn't for a pesky lawyer!

7stanes blog says to avoid for a while yet, cafe still closed too. Forets roads very icy as is the singletrack which has been ridden on.
