needing to replace the old tape, which is Spesh 4.5mm gel phat tape.
Same again or any other reccomendations ?
Always found the thick phat stuff a bit bulky, so may go for the 2.5mm gel if sticking with Spesh.

I like Condor cycles cork bar tape.
I like Deda padded tape. I've used Phat tape with the gel pads thinking it would dampen road vibration. I liked it intially but found the tape would migrate along the bars exposing the gel padding. I then began to dislike the squidgy feeling of it. I switched back to simple padded tape and like it a lot more.

I think our entire team is slowly but steadily moving to fizik stuff, it's really nice.
thanks for these ones. mcmoonter - yeah, I find it a bit squidgy feeling too, probs was used to it but I got another bike with factory Giant tape on it earlier in yr and now find the spesh stuff not so nice as I thought it was !
