Reccomend me a hardtail
Hi. I have some quite specific requirements for a hardtail MTB that will be used for mix of singletrack/gravel/on road riding. Would would love some suggestions:
Must haves:
- 27.5 and non thru axle (as I already have a swytch ebike kit that I want to fit)
- under £800 (new with c2w or second hand)
- lightweight
Nice to haves:
- hydraulic discs, but would accept mechanical discs
- dropper post
I feel like now is the right time to tell you to look in the classifieds for mine that’s up for sale.
Ideally quite quickly before I start taking it apart 😁

Isn’t the swytch a front hub e bike kit? If so you need a non-bolt through fork presumably. That probably means a poor Suntour coil fork as most of the air ones fitted to bikes have a bolt through arrangement.
