As above,
After riding today and finding my drivetrain noisy i decided to whip my chain off and give it the petrol treatment, i noticed that on one of the outer plates was split, its a SHIMANO XT one so no wonder its split, ive never had an ounce of luck with one of their chains,
I'm looking at a SRAM chain can any one please reccomend a 10 Speed comaptible chain.

Yup no worries, it'll last more than 300km unlike SRAM ones too
Or buy the kmc X10.93 for £17 for less bling but just as much durability. Not managed to snap one yet unlike SRAM/Shimano

I do like a bit of Bling, it pisses every one off 
The wife said she'd buy me a new chain for fathers day and jokingly added she'd get me a gold one so that's exactly what I'll get. She'll be horrified, as would I normally but I have to say I'm starting to quite like the idea. It's going to go on a very nice but very understated road bike so should look suitably odd.
