I've just bought a Rockshox Reba Team off the classifieds, and straight out of the box the pushlock wasn't locking out the fork at all. The fork seemed to compress ok and have no obvious damping/rebound issues so I didn't think there was anything to worry about.
After 2 rides though it has stopped reaching full compression - now typically getting about 40mm out of a 100mm fork.
What does it sound like the problem is?
All the damping oil has leaked into the lowers, stopping the lockout working & stopping the fork reaching full travel.
Tick.
My poplock has a similar problem, you can push switch it on but have to manually turn it off, damping is ok on mine, could you post the solution if you find it? Cheers.
Solution is to do a service on the damping leg. New oil & o-rings should sort it.
loco from here has the seals if you need them
I had a feeling it might be a leak due to O-rings - that's good, I'm glad it's not likely to need a new compression cartridge.
Will dig out a service guide and no doubt have some questions afterwards.
It's dead easy to fix. I had to do the same with my pikes recently. Had to buy circlip pliers and 24mm socket to get at the moco cartridge. Got new seals from loco.
Make sure if you get circlips that the little pins on them that engage in the clips are small enough.
I bought some from Screwfix & the pins are just a smidge too large to engage in the ickle holes on the circlips....
Ouick free fix that might work (it did for me!):
1) Unscrew the MoCo damper unit.
2) Locate poplock return spring inside damper unit
3) You should see that it is not sitting 'quite right'
4) Jab at it repeatedly with a fine screwdriver blade until it does
5) Reinstall MoCo unit and ride!
Edit: okay, just re-read your problem ๐ณ it appears you don't have a sticking poplock. Ignore.
