I've just bought a 2008 Reba dual air from the classifieds on here, which is my first air sprung fork so it's unknown territory for me.

When I first looked at it the fork didn't seem to compress at all. Now I've let all the air out of both chambers; and having no air in it I expected the fork would sink into its lowers but it hasn't, and it still won't compress at all.

Does that sound odd?

I can't find my shock pump at the moment so can't inflate it yet.

(Lockout is definitely off by the way.)

The O ring seal has gone in the damping side and all/most of the oil has migrated into the fork lowers.

it's a very common problem when the O ring has worn, It's a dead simple fix . There's a seller on ebay doing seal kits (both legs) for about £8 and all the info you need to do the job is on the Sram/Rockshox site.

The seller must have known there was a problem , I'd be asking them for either a refund or something towards the repair.

Name and Shame?
