[#4359929]

Evening stw.

My rebound on my reba 29 forks is stuck. Used some pliers with a cloth to try and free it up, it moved but still unable to move it by hand.

Any tips/advice to remedy?

Cheers

Ash

pull the knob out and re-insert it. Mine wasn't in properly and did that.

Did you just pull it out?

yeah. It's just an allen key with a fancy red knob.

Hi,
It makes a change that the red allen key rebound thing is that tight because I've lost them in the past so I normally set the rebound half way between the tortoise and the hare and remove it and stick it my back pack. I wouldn't worry if it's stuck if the rebound is already set. If your bothered then get the priers out and pull it out. Give it then a good drop of oil and grease and then it should be ok, but I would leave it off as they do tend to drop off when riding!

So just to confirm so I don't **** my forks, I have negative air one side and red rebound the other, and it should just pull out?

As your looking at the bike from the front then the rebound key is on your left. And yes, it should just pull out.Neg air on the right lower and the pos air above!

Why are you messing with it?

Good luck!

It sounds like that it has seized with all the water and crap! Turn it upside down and get the wd40 out!

Right tried again, trying to pull it out, will not budge. Don't want to scratch the actual rebound knob too much in case I go into the shop and they go ooh not touching that you broke it!

when mine was hard to turn it was jammed on the clip on the bolt at the bottom of the fork leg. When I was turning it it seemed to actually unscrew the bolt and the knob was moving up and down instead of just spinning. I bit the bullet and pulled it out and then reseated it. Been fine since.
