I rebuilt my rear wheel sometime ago and has been ridden fairly hard since. After putting a wider higher volume tyre on I noticed on the rear swingarm that the gap between each side is uneven. Another rear wheel is fine but obiously a narrower tyre. Is this a biggy - doesn;t seem to affect the handling of the bike or foul the rear swingarm. Not sure how the dish is out as when I rebuilt it it was spot on ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ๐Ÿ˜ณ

is the tyre sat right ? i wouldnt have thought it would have made a difference anyway but i guess it was more the tyre mounting than the wheel

turn the wheel around and see if the dish changes sides?
If it does, just re-dish the wheel? Easy job to do if you take it gently.

good idea bigyinn - Prob will - I don't think its the tyre as it seems to be sitting fine. Yeh I thought you'd say that though - have to take the tubeless tyre off - might leave it untill is needs changing or truing at all ๐Ÿ™‚ Cheers guys.

you shouldn't need to remove the tyre, just loosen one side of spokes and tighten the other. No need for a stand if that's the problem, you can just use a cable tie on the seat stay.

if its not causing a problem with tyres rubbing then it doesn't really matter, I have been running a wheel like that for the past year with no probs.

Will be fine, dish doesn't matter at this level, as long as tension is ok

It depends which way the dish is out really, if it's towards the drive side you'll have a weaker wheel that could pretzel more easily, but if you're a fairly light rider you'll probably not notice it.
