Quick question. I just removed the rear shock from my bike ready for to replace some worn pivot bolts and reducers. I removed the shock without first letting the air out. Is this wrong ? Obviously I am not going to undertake any shock maintenance while it is still pressurized, but just wondering whether it is bad to remove it from the frame whilst still got air in ?
I cant see why it would be a problem, but just thought I'd check whether I had done the wrong thing
it's not a problem, only issue you might experience is if you have a complicated frame to squeeze it back into..
Nah, nothing complex, its a stupmjumper, it goes in easy.
Nope had an older Stumpie FSR and no problems there - I agree with Z1ppy it maybe a little more fiddley to put back in is fully extended as you have to raise the bike up a bit but do it on a stand and you can get it to the perfect height at the back ๐
