Hi guys.

My bike takes a 222x70mm rear shock that's coil. Finding an air one to replace it doesn't give me many options that are not overly expensive.

How bad would a 215x63mm shock affect the ride? It has a high ish BB so at a guess I would loose a tiny bit of travel and lower the BB a bit.

But is this a really bad idea??

you would need to test it with no air in first to see if the suspension clobbers anything at full travel. (or a piece of wood with 2 holes 152 mm apart) sorry ignore me I finally got round to doing the other sum ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Cheers for the info.

I kinda figured in a basic way the closed length of the shocks should be the same. Being 7mm shower on the length and stroke.
So should..... be OK.

But will get hold of a shock to try it out.
