Got a new (mail order) bike today and i think the rear mechs knackered. its one of the new Type 2 SRAM x-9 10 speed mechs.
When i tried to fit the rear wheel i couldnt move the mech out the way. it'll move side to side but the bottom cage wont pivot backwards and forwards. i can see the locking button but its not engaged. the thing is seized solid and i cant get it to budge.
Before I contact the shop in the morning, am I being a total idiot and missing something obvious?
