My mate has recently bought himself a new rear mech which is an XT, it is really weird as in it shifts the opposite way to other rear mechs I've ever fitted, as in you push the shifter and the mech goes the opposite way to mine? Why is this, what mech does he need for it to shift normally?
Thanks

He's bought a 'low-normal' rear mech. A conventional rear mech is 'top-normal'
For XT, 'low-normal' is M770, 'top-normal' is M771 or M772 (shadow)
