Sorry, rear lights are probably done to death but what the hell.

I'm after something like the Flare or a Backupz, which attaches to the bike nice and simply and can be swapped between bikes without also moving brackets (or buying a bracket for each bike).

Backupz I have, but I'd like something with more grunt. Flare has its appeal, but not keen on the power source - would prefer either AA/AAA cells or an internal cell like the front Maxx lights.

Anything out there?

Don't want to drain the Joystick though - don't have too much burn left over on my commute.

I have one of these on my commuter: Blackburn Mars Click

Dead easy to swap between bikes..

Edit - but might not be bright enough now I re-read your original post.. ๐Ÿ™

I have a Knog Boomer which might fit the bill, have heard the waterproofing isn't great but had no problems so far. Bright, a few seconds to remove, runs off 2x AAA batteries.

+1 for the rechargeable Flare. It's crazy bright and I've just swapped it off the commuter to the hardtail in readiness for a ride tomorrow night and it took all of, ooh, 10 seconds. The rubber band thing is incredibly quick to use. Very nicely made lights and the front version (can't recall what it's called) is piercingly bright when run with r/c batteries.

knogs have been useless in my experience..
the latest big rear ones are extremely poor... spray gets inside them and then they develop a mind of own.
