I've used Pro2's and Bulbs.

If you can get your hands on a Bulb hub go for that over a Pro2.

Same pondering here.

Not CK - had 'em for 4 years but just too much hassle.

Torn between Hope Pro II and some Goldtecs. Think I'll go for the Goldtecs myself. Both Hope and BETD have offered good support in the past too, so aftersales should be OK if needed.

I'd go for CK. Faster engagement. Bearings last forever, piss easy to maintain, nice noise and finish.

Hopes are noisy, but have good aftersales.

I run CK, I9 and Pro 2's. All good. Kings are best IMO because of ease of service and performance. Granted, the bearings aren't the best sealed, but they are very easy to access to re-grease, spares are easy to come by and if you buy the tool you can strip and re-build, IMO, extending the life of the hub considerably. I also prefer the more or less instant engagement of them (and the I9's) over the Pro 2's. I9's are good too, but expensive and it is less easy to get spares in the UK (spokes). They build a very nice light strong wheel though and performance is good. I haven't stripped and cleaned them yet though.

If it were me, Kings.

The DT in my rovals is really nice... light, quick uptake and it's quiet. Remains to be seen how reliable it is though.

Halo make a really well respected hub dont they? Seem to remember weight and function are very similar to the CK. I didnt like my CK at all; and in hindsight the idea that a hub that expensive could possibly be that much better than the Hopes, Ringles, Shimanos I have had since was mad.

If you wanna blow some wad how about something from Tune, they are definitely light.

I'd say Hadley, reliable, easy to service and the bearings are ultra smooth, I can spin a wheel with a finger and it will still be spinning a few minutes later. I've got the 72 point engagement rear which is pretty quiet but they do a 36 pt if you prefer a clicky hub with a slower pickup....The only downside is the price but not too bad from the states.

The DMR Revolver Rear Hub is always popular and offers a allen key bolt rear option, Otherwise a Pro2 or Nukeproof for the money

I have hope and one of those superdrive ones but from superstar not halo and to be honest its just as good as my hopes, but much quicker engagement.

I had kings, but they just kept coming loose.

When my XT rear hub died last year I went for a Hope Bulb as a replacement, it's been great so far.
I got mine from Stif, they've still got them at £69.99, very cheap when you compare it to the price of a Pro2.

Hadley here too. I got a great deal on US ebay.

Though I like CK and DT. Never go for Mavic
