so the hope pro 2 rear hub doesnt sound as noist these days..its kinda quiet.... when servicing does it just require plenty of grease or new bearings too.... its about 2 year old...

If there's no sign of play when you move the rim side to side, and the axle runs smoothly when you rotate it, then the bearings are probably ok and you'll just need to clean out the ratchet and pawl assembly.Fitting new pawl springs is a good idea whilst it's apart, a thin layer of grease is all that's required,ideally an EP(extreme pressure)type, and don't forget the 2mm spacer washer when you put it back together.

cheers but what the hecks a 'ratchet and pawl' assembly lol doh i cant do this its too technical lol 😉

geez they make it look easy but it aint..lol

wish i could send my hub off to Hope...at least i wud know it was done reight ! 😉
