I once left a maxle at the roadside in the Brecon Beacons. Realised about 3 days later, drove the hour back, and it was still there 🙂

This one is not still there. SingletrAction have it. Though since all of singletrAction ride UK branded steel hardtails, we don't actually know what it is, and so rather than use it, we have just decided to worship it as some kind of holy relic.
