I want a new helmet for commuting this winter. Looking at the cheapo 661 pisspots on CRC. Can't go wrong for £15, right? Anyone know if the 'unisize' will accommodate those who are especially well endowed in the noggin department?

Cheers!

Pisspots are significantly warmer due to less ventilation. Not a problem when weekend riding but you may want to reconsider for commuting.

should be fine, but, you will sweat buckets in a pisspot.

Hmm ok, bad idea. I was thinking they would keep the rain off better, but I'd probably end up wetter from sweat. Good call guys.

In my experience if you have an *ahem* larger head, unisize helmets don't necessarily fit. Might be worth looking at the measurements on the manufacturers website for whatever you go for.

In general cheap helmets should keep you as safe as more expensive ones as they should all meet the same safety requirements but the more you spend the lighter weight they'll be, and the better vented.

Spunk an extra tenner on a Giro Indicator or Transfer (same lid with/without peak).

But if you really want a pisspot then these are good. I use one when out on my BMX

I have cheap pot for cold weather riding because it prevents brain freeze.
