Got an inbred 29, its orange...
It needs to go back to its original state of steel.
Any recomendations of paint strippers in the herts area, also does clear coat really work? I have heard of it being slightly porous.
Also any readers photos of their frames naked?
i would be interested in rawing my charge duster frame also (am thinking about doing up the bike bit by bit).wonder how you protect steel from the elements though (plus am rubbish at anything diy/may well get it done professionally when funds allow).
i think its best to get it done quickly and simply by those with the kit. too much hassle picking bits out!

chemical dipping, but not in herts ...sorry.
also, didn't bother with clearcoat. it's a mountain bike and will be destroyed in no time anyway.
having said that, it's (obviously) not steel 😕
If you are Raw-ing a steel frame you will want a clearcoat. My factory rawed 456 s getting extra 'patina' in all the little stone chips anyway, it would look like a giant turd without any clear coat!
Some people leave their steel bike frames properly raw, with no clearcoat. Once it looks how you want it, you liberally apply lots of linseed (or other) oil, and reapply every six months.
