I love gilets and the Rapha softshell winter gilet looks amazing if pricey at £150.

Does anyone have one? And is it worth the money?

Any recomendatios then for good soft shell gilets?

All i have found that fits the bill is an Assos one and the Rapha. And the Rapha does fit better..

Treat yourself, get the rapha, you'll soon earn more money but the gillet will last you years

I've got one of the Rapha ones. Amazing. Beautifully made, quality is top notch.

Downsides...go a size up from what you normally wear. I'm a skinny bloke and the medium was tiny.

It might sound strange, but it's also a bit too warm...ie you might not wear it as often as you think..

Ive got one, and love it. Is it worth it - YES!!

I thought long and hard about the Rapha softshell hjacket I bought first, but once I had bought it and spent a winter in it I would have no problem spending that much again. I only bought the Gillet a month ago, but was confident in its ability to justify its cost. Have used it about 5 times now, and it has not dissapointed.

How tough is the outer on it? Do you wear it on the trails?
