Quick quizzical for you here...

If you were given £100 right now to spend on something, what would you buy?

It can't be something you were going to buy anyway, and (therefore) can't be a 'maintenance' item or one that is replacing another.

So, £100 buys you................

Some new clothes, probably a couple of pairs of jeans and some t shirts. Could do with some.

Decent tools or workstand etc. That kind of thing as it will be money well spent and last unlike a random bling part.

if I didn't have one already, one of these, Revolution Tune Up Workstand.
Fantastic bit of kit.

Just noticed, only £50 at the moment. Absolute bargain. Mine's taken over 5 years of abuse with no problems.

yup, got one of those for xmas a few years ago - agree, very good workstand. Great for taking to races too as it collapses. I find I have to put weights on the left left if clamping the bike by the seatpost though - just for extra stability.

My mate has the Park one - it is more stable, but it doesn't fold up.

thomthumb - but you can't spend the £100 on a replacement! They're the rules! What would you buy?

Some spangly bits that I wouldn't normally buy, like Hope floating rotors, fancy KCNC jockey wheels, fancy QR's & seatclamp. Not that you'd get fancy ones of all of that for £100....

.........or......a bus ticket to the Cairngorns and a carrier bag of bananas.......
