not sure about the woods mate, but head upto the tower and go either left or right - left takes you on a great single track threw the MOD training land and right takes you down to Helmshore (which is easyly linked to edenfield where you can climb to the turbines. up on rooley moor you'll find crag quarry and be able to drop down into lee quarry too

Very cheeky. Its a nature reserve. I cant even believe you would consider riding in there. tsk tsk.

But if you did consider it, you could ride up the side of the pub (Hairy Hounds) and follow the track up to the big lodge, bear right and you would be out on the edge of the MOD land. There you could pick up the road that goes around the bottom of the hill through to Crowthorne school above Edgeworth. Or up the steep hill at the sentry post to Monk's cross.

But that would be unthinkable.

Just get an OS Map and head off for an explore. It would be totally irresponsible of me to tell you that riding down through Buckden Woods to Stubbins is a right old laugh. Because its a footpath, so that would be wrong

Oh i fully intend to, I thought I might get some hidden treasures that aren't neccesarily marked on a OS map

Gin Croft lane (Edenfield)through to Michael Wife Lane's a bit of fun or carry on up Gin Croft and swing a right up sand beds lane (watch out for the dogs and or the bull at the farm at the top though) can get you up to Cragg Quarry. Descend to Rammy from Cragg via Coal Road across to Rossendale School and then down Bamford Lane Bridleway. Dont listen to any of that Cr?p about Redisher - Just ride it, its good fun.
