Ordered my Big Al 2021 today... 🙂 £1045 with a 5% discount applied. I think that's a well specked bike for the money. Will upgrade to tubeless and put 175mm cranks on it, other than that it looks like a great fun all around bike... and love the purple colour. Anyone else getting one ? they're due in 15th March.

Looks great. Love a 29r and this is good value. Why changing the cranks? I’m tall but don’t really see any benefit or otherwise between 170 or 175 cranks. I’m not the fussiest though!

True, not too sure if I will end up changing the cranks, always ridden 175mm and have a spare pair but will give the 170mm a try first.

One of my bikes came with 170 cranks and it doesn’t feel any different really (easier to get up to speed but that is more to do with the 28t front ring!)

Bit of a bargain for a well-specced bike. I'd love one but thanks to Brexit and the new import duties the're nearly double the price to send to Spain.

I think/hope it is. Seems most manufacturers have put £200-£300 on their new 2021 models, so was please with the price. I looked at frame only (£350) options but with the shortage of parts and Brexit!!grrr!!..

i have an order in for the 1.0, i spent the extra to get the dropper and better fork. But both bikes seem to offer great value.

I am in the lucky position that mine will be a 2nd bike, to compliment my FS. Really looking forward to it.

Has anyone built up a frame yet ? Frames arrived a few weeks back and sold out within a few days. I'm waiting on delivery of my full build, due in UK any day (apparently!). Anyone ridden one yet ?
thanks

Currently buidling up a Bigwig. I got my hands on a Big Al frame initially but it arrived with a couple small dents in the downtube so I've gone with the BigWig instead. Have to say it's marvellous in the flesh.

If the current shortages weren't so bad I'd have gone for the Big Al 1.0 full bike myself, particularly with that Z2 strapped to it. Great value

@coconut - who have you purchased it from? i was under the impression that full bikes would be shipping at the start of this week to the shops, but when enquiring with evo cycles (the shop i bought from), they said they dont know when it will arrive until it turns up. somewhat frustrating!
