Everyone is allowed to ask a daft question time to time, here is mine!
All my previous tyres have had a very clear directional arrow to show the correct way to fit the tyre, BUT on the R/R's they have one arrow showing front and another showing rear. Does that mean that the rear tyre should have it's rear arrow rotating in the forward direction and the front tyre with the front arrow rotating the other way to the rear or what? ๐ณ
The arrow points in the direction of rotation, so yes, the tread is pointing in the opposite direction on front and rear. It makes sense if you think about it - the tread on the rear is mainly concerned with giving traction as you push forward, whereas the front takes most of the braking load in the other direction.
Thanks! I thought so, just wanted to double check before I battle with the 29er tyre wheel thing! ๐
