Maybe this should go in the wanted section, but I'm hoping there's someone out there making regular trips from Bristol to Cym Carn. I'd love to go, but I don't have a car. I'd be happy to pay a contribution to fuel and bridge fare.

Look, I could prob take a detour via Bristol. I'm thinking of heading down Sunday if family commitments allow. Am planning to meet my mate there but you would be welcome (so long as you aren't insane). As mentioned, nothing set in stone yet, but even if this doesn't come off would like to get down in the next few weeks.

I live near Glos so would be a bit of a long detour, but if you could sub the bridge I reckon I could manage it.

what area in Bristol do you live? BMBC goes there and Afan regularly and shares cars

You can now get a train almost to the entrance of Cwmcarn IIRC.

EDIT: the station you want is Crosskeys which is 1.4 miles from the car park, and you change in Cardiff not Newport.

Drop me a PM. I'm bristol based and regularly go to cwmcarn, FOD, Afan, Mendips etc (every weekend, sometimes sat and sun). We usually have space for 1 more.
The passengers generally just pay bridge and parking.
