joined BC, got a Licence, the 10% discount for CRC more or less made it free,

on the back of the card, it says (XC - Sport)

I've entered Expert, for Rd1, will i have any issues with this?

Yes, sadly so. You'll have to speak to them to get an expert licence.

Didn't know about the CRC discount, missed out on that ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Edit: assume you mean the Nationals (ie Sherwood?) as per above, regional/local series probably won't care.

one time 10% voucher, but 10% off di2 xtr mech and some other bits i need = free membership + licence,

but also some chat about a constant 10% off CRC voucher

Yes, sadly so. You'll have to speak to them to get an expert licence.

ah, not going to happen is it, no prior results, ill give them a bell next week to sort it,

didn't particularly want to race fun/open/sport especially if the start times are the same,

Mmm, seems random, you may get lucky, but I'd not hold my breath!

1) An MTB stage race abroad somewhere - probably mainland europe. Recommendations very welcome.

There are 2 stage races in Poland: The Beskidy mTB Trophy in June and the Sudety MTB challenge late July. Read good reviews for the Sudety
http://www.mtbchallenge.com/

My racing goals:
Finish HTR550
Finish within first third overall Sellaronda Hero
Finish MB race ultra distance

Get to third cat, one point needed after losing out at my last crit following the commissaries reshuffle.

Joined the LVRC too so aiming to find my feet in there, few bunch finishes will be nice.

Also a bit more involvement with helping out, marshalling etc.

Current schedule is

1: Deva Triathlon
2: European Standard Distance Triathlon Championships
3: British Standard Distance Triathlon Championships
4: World Standard Distance Triathlon Championships
5: World Cross Triathlon Championships (maybe, dates all wrong)

For the first time in a few years I have no other races on the agenda, no MTB races, no road races no TT's. Just those 4/5 so the goal is for some of them to go well...

Iain

And maybe qualify for the obstacle championship.

Not doing many this year as they seemed to dominate my life last year. But what i am doing are biggies.

1. May - EWS Tweedlove. 600 maniacs racing round the borders. F@@k yea ๐Ÿ™‚

2. June - Trans Provence. Although ill be racing i am sure my results will be less than spectacular so i will take my usual out look which is to do my best but to make sure i enjoy it, drink a few beers and meet some cracking people.

Seems to work for me up till now ๐Ÿ™‚

Racing on the road for me.

1) Do some of the few crits we have in Scotland, mostly for the experience of it and learning how to cope in mad bunches.
2) Do a few local TTs, mostly for the training but also for the 'fun'
2) Get some meaningful racing in on some Cat3/4 races - even a bunch finish or a doomed breakaway would be cool.
3) Learn how to count

Id love to race a crit but dont think its likely being a solo rider with no bunch riding opportunities.

Ride the top distance in at least one mtb marathon, probably church Stretton

MY aim is just to get chance to do one.

Very busy home life, then being away at sea for more than half the time, and no races happening conveniently close to home make it very difficult.

I am signed up to 'ArdRock Enduro, but my leave plans have been scuppered, and may not be home for it.

Every other race seems to happen when I'm on the boat. ๐Ÿ˜ก

I have just entered the Epic Cymru, so a respectable finish in that would be great.

Probably do 2 or 3 other Enduros throughout the year too, a Red Kite event or two and whatever else comes up.

But the main goal is to be injury free. Not managed that for several years so the odd races I have gone to have all been first rides back after 3 months off.

I've entered the Castlewellan enduro in the masters / hardtail categories.
It's my first race so finishing is my only goal. If I enjoy it, I might enter the other rounds.

2015 Cyclo cross has just finished,

Got Black Park Southern series XC in a few weeks.
Baines Racing Road race the week after.
Road race in Boltoph Claydon?
Crit series from beginning of May to end of season, every Tuesday.
Friday Night Summer Series XC

Random XC races, open road races might even do some TT's (which I detest)

Then cross starts all over again late September.

Good effort, see you there. I'm stupidly unfit, but someone's got to make up the numbers!

Gained an Expert licence through the demise of Masters. Makes no odds as I've no plans to race this summer, just a regroup before proper racing (CX) starts again in September.

Mostly it's - do myself justice at BC Bike Race. So there are a few events coming up and quite a lot of riding. All aimed at being in a reasonable state for BC.

I've got the first Southern XC on Sunday, but I've had a stinking cold all week, coupled with the already poor fitness. Not coming last will definitely be a victory, and I will count DNFs in that.

We should have a follow up in December to this.

I've got quite a few but a podium at Mayhem (solo) is my main one.

First proper race this weekend - Cannock Run and Ride Winter Classic. Doing the singlespeed cat, bit annoyed it's only three laps though!

I far exceeded all my expectations for racing last year

To do this, and then again next year.

Check before you travel, FC threatening to cancel it due to forecast high winds, I can only see peak of 23mph myself though

Oh & 3 laps is enough on a SS believe me, the nature of the course robs all your momentum for the climbs, its very narrow and it'll be very muddy too, the drop & bombhole will be interesting!

Yeah, got the email earlier. Fingers crossed for good(ish) weather. I'm looking forward to it, but only 3 miles per lap? Seems quite short.

I'll be on a fat bike,3x3.45 miles will be enough!

You fast chaps should see it as a mud-criterium

Ah, 3.45 miles sounds better, I'd read it was only 2.8 somewhere!

1) Road: 2nd cat licence and a top 10 finish at the Nationals in my age class

Top 20 at yesterday's Surrey League 2/3 80km race (I was 20/100 ๐Ÿ˜ณ at 1:14 below). So seeing some progress. Now working on sprinting

Didn't come last, boom. Two DNFs, but I was beating one of them anyway. That's a win.

Now... Training.
