What sort of events are you interested in?
XC racing, Marathons, Stage races, downhill, enduro?

So much out there, loads of great events. Something for everyone.

Probably marathons/stages races/enduro. Something epic. Big birthday next year and want to do something special.

Salzkammergut Trophy ... the 208km version is epic and scenery is immense !! ... plus if driving you can truck back through France and watch a couple of stages of the tour de france ๐Ÿ™‚

Salzkammergut Trophy probably has the biggest stats for a one day race. 200km & about 8000m climbing.
Grand Raid Cristalp is fantastic, great atmosphere and good riding.

Iron Bike is probably the hardest stage race in the World (www.ironbike.it) if you want something epic.
TransPyr sounds good and again very tough.

Transvesubiene sounds ace, one I'd love to do.
Mega Avalanche is good, although you need to be seriously good to do well and have a clear run, otherwise its a bit of a procession.

The Polish stage races get good reviews, Beskidy trophy and Sudety Challenge.

Denmark apparently has some good one day events as does Belguim.
