Yup - I tend to because the stock RF BB's that come with the cranks can be touch and go (although my after market one is holding up well).

Deore BB's are poop though - pay the extra few quid for an XT one.

Thanks - is it a good crankset? I've always had Shimano and never used another really.

The Turbine stuff is really nice.

I always use Race Face cranks and have had no issues with them - my Rune and Stanton both run Atlas AM cranks which are standing up well. The Turbine stuff is a bit lighter but will still take a battering.

If they weren't grey, I think I'd be buying a pair to replace my most battered Atlas cranks.

Bear in mind the Outer chainring is 120BCD which does restrict the choice of ring you can get on there.

As I've just found out this morning as I opened up and placed my narrow wide chainring against the apertures... ๐Ÿ˜•

I've had 3xShimano for the last ten years so not really had this issue. Ah well, it is a very beatiful crankset/nice BB though (RF BB came inc- didn't expect one).

Back it goes.

I was too excited and 'buy' too soon..

I didn't even know that this silly BCD existed!

They've been 104 for ages why deviate? I can understand SRAM going to 90 for the 11 speed groupsets.

Good News, don;t send them cranks back just yet...

Just got an email from Charlie, direct at Blackspire and he indicated about 10 days and the 80bcd version will be sent to CRC, wohoo! :)...
