Swapped in a spare new BB into my Crush this evening but can't seem to find a replacement in the UK. I appreciate I can get a Hope (though they seem in short supply) or Uberbike but thought I would change the bearings in the RF BB as I had some spare 6805s to hand.
I put the new bearings in (1 Uberbike branded and the other Brand X) but both are notchy.
Can you change the bearings in this BB, if so where am I going wrong ?

I used a Hope BB installation kit to tap in one side and some sockets and a bearing press tool on the other side.
Not the official tools.. but.
Should have worked so long as you were pressing on the outer bearing race.
The Hope bb tool is the method I usually use or press the bearings into the cups in a vice using the old bearings as a drift.
How long have you had them spare? If they had never been used in anger and you had them for a long time they may have picked up some spots of corrosion. Sometimes there isn’t a lot of grease in these things as new - I always use a craft knife to pop one of the seals off and press a bit more grease in. To be honest you might still try that...might help in short term at least.
