hi iv got race face crank rings need replasing. I thort it be better to swap the whole crank set. The chain is swiched biy an sram front shifter. How do'abel is it just to simply wip it of and put on a Shimano slx chainset and cranck arm?

Its sad times as my bike has been shimano free sice it was built but kid on way forces sum tuf cut backs ๐Ÿ™‚ (noting against shimano was just a styel thing from when i was a teenager)

Sorry, but at the risk of being rude, it's hard to translate this.

If your question is as I suspect "Can I swap an SLX crank for a Race Face crank without changing the bottom bracket" then the answer is yes.

So long as the chainrings are the same sizes then you won't need to adjust the mech. Shimano cranks are a doddle to fit, but you need to make absolutely sure that you have the plastic thumbwheel to nip up the crank arms before you tighten the allen bolts.

Hey todchester, **** the spelling.

Your cranks will swap over, even better when your bearings on your bb wear out you can buy bushes from super star and 6805 2rs bearings and recondition them.

To check your bearings just rotate them with your fingers manualy!

What kind of bike have you got โ“

There's lots of good vids showing how to get your cranks on/off. I found external BBs loads easier to remove and fit.

With the right tools (not the cheapest, a mistake I made recently) it should be fine to do yourself. Just double check the threading!
