Beware of the American interpretation of the word waterproof. It can mean anything from "Not waterproof at all" to "completely waterproof but you'll boil in your own sweat"
Atlas, I think is a bog standard laminate jacket (IIRC) at least it has taped seams and a decent zip.It'll be sweaty but for the money, it's probably as good as most others.
I've have one and it's pants, if you pardon the ironic pun. The zipper snapped off, the taping on the front of the zip has cracked it's entire length and the tape on the inside seams has all come away and had to be cut off.
Really nasty quality.

Have to agree about RaceFace and their zips they do seem to be crap. Got a Aqunot jacket which is very good but the zip does play up along with the zip my on RaceFace gillet.
