It's been a while since I was on here ... and looking at the date of Raasay, that was a while ago too!

Long and short, I was up at the ex-staff 40th birthday party for Raasay House and Finn (David & Freya's son) is after any photography that isn't in the flickr album and any stories behind them:

If you have anything, could you please email Finn directly on: reservations@raasay-house.co.uk.

thanks, Phil

Wow! Great to see these photos on Flickr, thanks for posting the link. I’m pretty sure my late partner (Andy Cathcart) won the solo race at Raasay – nice to see him at the start line. I might have some photos, although it might take me a while to find them. I’ll have a look.

I did a few firework shows there a good few years ago - was always a fantastic place.

Lovely to see the photos - thanks Phil.

Particularly nice to see Andy C and Jenn.

Is that The Dark Marquis on the Rig as well?

Hi Rona,

So sorry to be so long in replying and posting this. Andy was one in a million. I hope this post or my delay in repling didn't upset you. The very short time I knew him influenced me heavily in who I want to be, providing assurance I'm on the right path but it is a path that has bucket loads of fun being sweet and cool in life.

xxxx

Hey, yes that is Chris and Jenn. The latter sadly missed.

Hi Phil, it's all good – not upset at all, but I really appreciate your thoughtfulness in considering that. Even after all this time, it's still lovely to hear about what Andy meant to other folk – thanks for sharing. Funnily enough, I missed your post yesterday as I was out visiting with Andy's family to bring in the new year – they'll be glad to hear it too. – And your post is a timely reminder for me to have another look for my hard drive with all the photos from back then! All the best.
