ok, so I'm probably being a bit thick but here goes.
can someone please explain to me how to correctly size a QR wheel skewer. I understand that the distance between drop outs is either 135mm or 142mm but what about the other size stated. i.e. 9mm, 15mm, 20mm? is it the fastener on the end of the skewer? how do i know what size to buy? what do I measure?
please be gentle with me!! 🙂

the 9/15/20 refer to the size of the hole through the middle of the hub.

9mm is a standard quick release lever. 15mm and 20mm are for bolt through hubs and use either then maxle quick release axle or a bolt thru axle.
