[#995277]

Still tying to build the cheapo ht for the SO, so I take it frame will have to be on-one.

Will a 16" fit a 1.64 female or will it be too long?
I know it's stem dependant but stem will probably be something around 70-90 mm dependsing on what I have in the spare box

Juan - should be OK. My daughter is around 1.58m and rides a 16" Inbred with a 75mm stem. Wife is same height and prefers a 14" though, so no hard and fast rule.

i've got Doris on a 14" inbred - she's 1.65m (5' 5").

itsa perfect fit with a 60mm ish stem, a 70-90mm stem would make it more racy.

(nice long seatpost for extra flexy comfort)

she's very fond of it, and has even named it.

it's called 'bike'

I'm 177cm and I rode a 16" inbred. Mrs NBT's 162cm and rode a 14" inbred. I coiuld ride the 14", although not comfortably without fitting a longer stem and an inline seatpost

Juan, a 16in Inbred is pretty long. I'm about 1.72 and I wouldn't want my 16in Inbred any longer. I use an inline post and an 80mm stem.

Personally, at 1.64, I think a 14in would be better.

i'm 1.58 and ride a 14" scandal. i tried a 16" inbred, just for size as i was going for the scandal frame, and found the reach a little too long. but i do have a stupid short body and now a ridiculous stand over height 😉

so would probably be ok but best to try if possible

Juan - I ride a 14" Inbred with a huge amount of seatpost showing. This size works well as a singlespeed. A few years ago I had a 16" 456 which meant I was far too stretched out.

Don't rule out a 15" Rock Lobster - do you remember mine? Great little bike and occasionally they come up on the Classifieds.
