Just had a few days riding the combes, must say what fantastic trails you guys have down there, natural trails that flow in such an ancient and diverse landscape, missing it already, thanks guys for the pointer towards the chimney, found it no problems.
Yeah, we had a great weekend down there a few weeks ago guided by Sharki, can't wait to go back.
Yep they're great ....had a bivi there Friday night.... up and riding empty trails at 0630hrs......lovely
You don't say ๐
there rubish and being closed down! stay away ๐
Apparently the trees are diseased and all the trails will be closed for the rest of the year. Stay away!
Any recommendations on where to stay? Either a good campsite or MTB friendly B&B?
The Westcountry. It's not shit.
Just camp in the great wood, you will be at the bottom of the chimney so a good place to finish, Or you have the plough Inn at Holford which is very mtb friendly and a good place to set of from.
Cool thanks, will have a look at those. Is the Great Wood in Holford too?
Holford is on the A39 road to Minehead at the bottom of Holfor combe.
we have stayed three times in the Crowcombe Arms on tother side. Choice of steep, straight climbs up by off or on road. Good food, beer and rooms and v friendly to everyone.
