Various starting points any will do it's a compact riding area - refer to OS:

Holford Green (climb Holford combe, Hodders combe or the Great Road)
Triscombe Stone for quick access to DH in Great Wood
Dead Womans Ditch or Crowcombe Gate are the most central

+1 for Dead Womans Ditch or Crowcombe Park Gate, easy access to anywhere on the hills from there. I recommed heading North and doing Weacombe and Smiths Combe 😀
