Looking at the Quad Dime XC brakes in particular as they look pretty good and relatively light. Has anyone used them or know anything about them? anyone know what pads they take?

i saw that but i thought it would be nice to hear from users who could tell me if they are easy on the pads, or a bu&&er to change pads, a sinch to bleed, y'know, that sort of stuff.

Pads seem to have to come from Raleigh dealers. I'd look into how easy that would be for you.

I've got the Quad Deuce DH brake, which I tested for the magazine ages ago. They are very powerful and reliable. Still going strong.

how easy are they to replace pads on Ed-O? are they like the original QHD-1s where you need to remove a bolt first then remove the pads?

Easy to replace and I've had no problems with sticky pistons. Pads have a screw in retaining pin.
