Due to an off road commute I need bright lights that can be fixed to my bike with minimal faffing.
So robbing someone else's idea and making it better I've managed to make a commute friendly solar storm mount.
It's not pretty but it will be used in the dark so who cares.

How easy is it to shorten the cables?
You could also cable tie an exposure type torch from deal extreme.

I used a P7 torch, on a peice of folded innertube zip tied to the bars, with a 2.5" dia O-ring looped over the torch, under the bar & back over the torch.
Took seconds to mount & remove.
