[#1816471]

OK, been talked into doing an XC race. My Mk1 Dialled Love/Hate is the closest thing I have to an XC race bike so I would like to investigate putting a 1x9 gear set up onto it.

The frame has a rear gear hanger but no cable stops. The rear hub is conventional so will take a cassette.

Questions are:

How do I manage the cable routing?
Will I need something up front to keep the chain on. If so what will fit. Looked at MRP guide but I don't think it will work with an EBB.

This is probably only going to be temporary so cheap and simple is good.

Any other recommendations please.

Thanks
Tim

As above, old front mech with adjuster screws wound in for the front. Full length outer zip-tied to the frame for the rear

Thanks all, that should be straightforward enough.

Any idea what clamp size front mech?

@RealMan - sure, I thought about it, but will be painful enough at it is!
