(always wanted to do that ^^^)

Yeah so I removed to old XT chainset and popped the FSA one in. It's a dual setup as opposed to the 3x XT so it took a little fiddling to get my 3 speed shifter set up (sacked off the granny option and used middle and big with some adjustments to the big ring limiter and cable adjust on the shifter)

Seems solid - no play or clunks, everything torqued up/greased and pedals on. Little ride around the garden and nothing alarming happened.

Will I die when I'm miles away from home?

Nope.

I run an FSA Moto G (think they are GAP or Gravity now) on XT and it's fine, apart from the ground bits of the spindle being a bit tight on the top hats, but then that's what 4lb lump hammers are for.

Goody. That will get rid of some of the belly fat I just can't shift. Result.
